Sandoz Generic Ozempic Approved: Why No Telehealth Provider Can Offer It Yet

A telehealth provider claiming to offer Sandoz's generic Ozempic today is ahead of the record: its DINs still read Approved, Not Marketed. Here is how to check.

Health Canada dated Sandoz's generic Ozempic Notice of Compliance September 16, 2026. As of September 29, DINs 02571501 and 02571528 both read Approved, not Marketed in the Drug Product Database.

Why this matters when you compare providers

A provider cannot dispense a product its pharmacy partner cannot obtain. If a listing or advert says you can start on Sandoz's generic today, ask which pharmacy will dispense it and confirm the status on the Drug Product Database yourself.

How to check in two minutes

  1. Open the Drug Product Database and search the DIN, 02571501 or 02571528.
  2. Look at the status: Approved, or Marketed.
  3. Ask the provider for the manufacturer name on the pen it dispenses.
